E.T. Gresham Company, Inc. is seeking a Marketing Administrator for a full-time, in-person role in Norfolk, VA.

The person will support marketing, business development, proposals, employee communications, and community relations, taking ownership of projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and creative, with a background in marketing and a proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in a construction industry setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business or related field preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• High organizational skills, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate content for the company website, social media, newsletters, advertisements, recruiting materials, and other communications.
• Photograph and document company projects, employees, equipment, milestones, and community events.
• Create and maintain brochures, project profiles, qualification materials, presentations, and marketing collateral.
• Assist preconstruction team with RFQs, RFPs, proposals, and qualification packages.
• Coordinate with estimating, operations, project management, and leadership to gather information for proposals and marketing.
• Track proposal deadlines and ensure submissions are complete, accurate, and timely.
• Support internal communications, employee recognition, recruiting, and events.
• Promote company involvement in local organizations and community.

We have an immediate opening for a Marketing Administrator to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This salaried, full-time position will support the Company’s marketing, business development, proposal, employee communication, and community-relations efforts. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, professional, and comfortable taking ownership of projects from concept through completion.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate content for the Company’s website, social media, newsletters, advertisements, recruiting materials, and other communications.
• Photograph and document company projects, employees, equipment, milestones, and community events.
• Develop and maintain brochures, project profiles, qualification materials, presentations, advertisements, and other marketing materials while ensuring consistency of the E.T. Gresham brand.
• Assist the preconstruction team with RFQs, RFPs, proposals, qualifications packages, interview presentations, and other business-development materials.
• Coordinate with estimating, operations, project management, and leadership to gather information for proposals and marketing efforts.
• Track proposal deadlines and help ensure submissions are complete, accurate, professional, and timely.
• Support internal communications, employee recognition, recruiting, company events, and other efforts that promote E.T. Gresham to employees.
• Help promote the Company’s involvement in local organizations, schools, industry groups, charitable activities, and the Hampton Roads community.
• Coordinate with outside marketing, graphic design, photography, printing, and website vendors as needed.
• Identify opportunities to highlight E.T. Gresham’s people, projects, capabilities, history, and community involvement.
• Attend company and community events and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop professional, polished content for a variety of audiences.
• High organizational skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, project-management, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
• Experience with graphic design or marketing platforms such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
• Photography, videography, website-content management, and social-media experience are a plus.
• Construction-industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable working in both an office environment and visiting active construction, crane, steel fabrication, and project sites as needed.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and carry projects from initial concept through completion.
• Ability to preserve confidentiality of company information.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to local project sites and events as needed.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background check and drug screening).
• Ability to perform physical activities that require the use of arms and legs such as climbing, lifting 60 pounds, balancing, walking, climbing, stooping, and handling materials. Must be able to sit and/or be active for long periods of time.
