Job summary

McGriff, a division of Marsh McLennan Agency, seeks a Marketing Account Executive on the Commercial Lines team to lead marketing activities for new and renewal business, consult with clients, and support producers in sales.

This role requires a bachelor's degree, a property and casualty license, strong communication and leadership skills, and willingness to travel. McGriff offers a collaborative culture with Hybrid Work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or related experience.
• Six years of commercial insurance industry experience.
• Property and casualty insurance license.
• Knowledge of markets, policies and coverage issues for all states and industries serviced.
• Organizational skills to plan and prioritize team workload, and to oversee application of work flows and procedures.
• Leadership skills and service and team orientation to provide direction, praise, constructive feedback, and development to employees in a way that maximizes productivity and team morale.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients, market contacts, and McGriff teammates.
• Strong persuasion skills and tact to obtain information, negotiate with markets, obtain commitment or payments due from others, and motivate staff.
• Discretion and problem solving skills to analyze client information, proposal competitiveness, etc., and to resolve client, market and employee relations problems.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate marketing activities on new and renewal business.
• Serve as consultative contact for clients and identify needs.
• Provide recommendations with supporting rationale with limited or no oversight from Producer.
• Respond to RFPs and participate in prospect meetings.
• Direct and lead mid-year reviews and collaborate with national leadership to drive strategy and initiatives.
• Lead, mentor and train other account service team members.
