Job summary

WOCAP, a local non-profit organization, seeks a Co-Teacher/FSW at Market Street 2 location. Position is 40 hours per week, 9 months a year.

Responsibilities include assisting the Teacher, planning weekly lessons, coordinating services for families, and ensuring health-related services with prompt follow-up. Requirements include passing a drug screen and background check, HS diploma or GED, CDA preferred with enrollment within two years, and maintaining required certifications; Ohio driver

Qualifications

• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Candidate must possess High School Diploma or GED.
• Current possession of CDA a plus.
• Must enroll in CDA program to obtain CDA certification within two years.
• Certifications in Child Abuse & Neglect, Communicable Disease, CPR, and First-Aid must be maintained.
• Valid Ohio driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and privately-owned vehicle during working hours preferred.
• Ability to check electronic mail, entering data into program-specific software for required reports, and Internet skills required.

Job description

WOCAP, a local non-profit organization, is seeking qualified candidates for a Co-Teacher/FSW based at our Market Street 2 location. This position is 40 hours per week, 9 months a year.

Responsibilities

• 1. Assist the Teacher in developing and educating each Child Development Services child to theirfullest potential by utilizing the latest curriculum.
• 2. Assist the Teacher with weekly lesson plans and daily planning.
• 3. Assist the children & families by ensuring coordination, facilitation, identification, enrollment, andprovision of individual services in accordance with Child Development Services PerformanceStandards, licensing regulations, and WOCAP policies & procedures.
• 4. Ensure that all children receive required health related services by connecting them to resources, providing follow-up support services and identifying and removing barriers to needed services. This includes expectations to transport families to appointments, report difficulties to supervisors in writing, and ensuring follow-up within 30 days.
