Job Description

The Market Sales Consultant (MSC) supports Independent Insurance Agents with National General insurance products. We are seeking an experienced Insurance Professional to cover Western Pennsylvania. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional partners to develop market-specific sales tactics aimed at achieving growth, profit goals, and targeted results. The individual will consult with independent agency owners (IA) to develop strategic business plans, advise on operations, identify issues, and recommend solutions, providing access to National General resources as needed. Since local travel is required to meet with agents, candidates must reside within the market. The role also includes recruiting new agents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Consult with agencies to meet the market production plan.
  2. Assist IAs in creating and adjusting short and long-term strategic business plans.
  3. Act as a Strategic Business Advisor to help IAs achieve business objectives.
  4. Work with the Strategic Deployment Leader to identify deployment opportunities.
  5. Prospect for candidates, selling the value proposition of National General and Allstate.
  6. Interview candidates to assess aptitude and financial viability, making recommendations for appointments.
  7. Advise agency owners on sales and operational processes, leveraging experience in insurance products, sales management, and portfolio management.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of related experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Property and Casualty (P&C) License in the state of residence.

  • Business planning and consulting skills.
  • Sales and recruiting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong management, analytical, planning, and organizational skills.

Compensation:

Annual salary ranges from $83,000 to $114,200, based on experience and qualifications. The candidate will be required to submit to a background check.
