Job summary

FHLB Dallas offers a Market Risk Internship designed to deepen your understanding of financial risk management and market risk analysis. You will work under supervision with the Market Risk Department to measure exposure, assist with reporting, and support data governance across EUC applications and modeling processes.

You will gain hands‑on experience in Excel/VBA automation, Power BI reporting, data validation, and collaboration with multiple bank areas to support risk strategies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with a GPA of 3.25 or better.
• Strong conceptual, analytic and IT skills for financial risk measurement and accounting practices.
• Knowledge of VBA, SQL, PowerBI and MS Office Suite, with ability to automate data manipulation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in measuring the Bank’s market risk exposure and preparing reports for management and regulatory purposes.
• Enhance and optimize Power BI reports and datasets for performance and visualization.
• Collaborate with IT, Treasury, Financial Operations, Accounting, Credit, Lending and other Bank areas on cross‑functional initiatives.
• Gather market data, validate with independent sources, and support risk management decisions.
