Job summary

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago is offering a summer internship in our Market Risk Earnings Analysis team. You will analyze report metrics, support risk management initiatives, and gain exposure to different asset classes in a collaborative in-office setting.

Ideal candidates study Finance, Computer Programming, Mathematics, Statistics, or Accounting, with a 3.0+ GPA and familiarity with Excel, SQL and Python.

Qualifications

• Strong curiosity about Financial Markets and Financial Risk management.
• Ideal majors include Finance, Computer Programming, Mathematics, Statistics, or Accounting.
• GPA of at least 3.0 and good academic standing.
• Familiarity with Excel, SQL and Python preferred.
• Internships will begin May 2026; start date is flexible based on school schedule.

Responsibilities

• Analyze report metrics and create reports to support risk management and/or strategic planning.
• Help automate process or reporting with RPA or software tools.
• Gain exposure to different asset classes and bring unique perspective.
• Create structured documentation related to various processes.
• Perform analysis on ad hoc projects such as climate risk.
