Job summary

GPAC is helping a well-established regional bank seek a Market President to lead a loan origination and deposit growth strategy in the local market. The role requires guiding a team of loan officers, collaborating with underwriting, and building strong relationships with clients and referral partners to drive revenue.

The ideal candidate brings 20+ years in originating CRE and C&I loans, a proven sales record, and outstanding leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to increase loan origination and deposits within the assigned market
• Oversee and manage the performance of loan officers and other staff members
• Foster strong relationships with key clients and referral partners
• Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Help with current and future growth and expansion needs

Essential Job Functions

• Originate retail and commercial loans, meeting, or exceeding sales targets
• Provide guidance and support to loan officers, assisting them in closing complex loan transactions
• Collaborate with credit and underwriting teams to ensure timely and accurate loan processing
• Conduct market analysis and identify areas for business expansion
• Represent the bank in various community and industry events

Must Have Skills And Experience

• 20+ years of experience in originating commercial real estate and commercian and industrial loans in a banking setting in the region mentioned
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets (though this isn't a churn and burn company, not publicly traded)
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• In-depth knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations
