Job summary

Waymo is seeking a Market Operations Lead for the San Francisco Bay Area to drive end-to-end performance of the Waymo Driver in a hybrid role reporting to the Head of Market Operations - West. You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure a safe, reliable, and high-quality autonomous ride-hailing service, balancing on‑the‑ground execution with long‑term scalability.

The role requires extensive leadership experience in operations management, strategic execution, and P&L ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or MBA degree; 10+ years in operations management
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing complex environments
• Experience with multi-vendor operations across a large organization
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision making
• Proficiency in leading cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives
• Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SFBA market operations, balancing rider experience with safety and reliability
• Orchestrate weekly reviews and cross-functional stand-ups to hit performance targets
• Oversee depot readiness, fleet utilization, and serviceability across markets
• Coordinate with Engineering, Product, Policy to remove blockers and ensure SLAs
• Manage budgets and resource allocation to drive profitability and growth
• Guide market expansion efforts with rigorous go/no-go reviews
