8Fleet seeks a Market Manager to oversee Chicago operations, driving growth and operational excellence. You will manage end-to-end fleet activities, coordinate with growth teams, and implement strategies for sustainable profitability in a fast-paced startup environment.

The role requires strong leadership, data-driven decision making, and hands-on execution across scheduling, maintenance, and driver engagement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of operations management, business consulting, or related experience.
• 2+ years of people management experience with leadership.
• Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze data and form strategy.
• Entrepreneurial hustle with owner’s mindset; some entrepreneurial experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Experience with ridesharing platforms (Uber, Lyft) is a strong plus.
• BA/BS or higher with impressive academic record.

Responsibilities

• Own all financial and operational metrics to maximize revenue and profit.
• Oversee day-to-day fleet operations including driver scheduling, dispatch, and performance monitoring.
• Manage vehicle maintenance programs to ensure fleet utilization and safety.
• Partner with Growth to recruit, onboard, and retain drivers.
• Analyze fleet performance data and implement profitability improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety audits.
