Job summary

Family Dollar in Houston is seeking a Market Investigator to ensure store operations comply with company programs and policies. You will audit stores, report findings, and advise managers on improvements to the in-store experience while training teams on loss prevention, cash handling, safety and security standards.

The role requires coordinating with APS, corporate partners and field managers, traveling locally, and working full-time including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Experience: Store management in retail, grocery or drug store environments.
• Local market field experience in loss prevention a plus.
• Experience facilitating large group training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly LP audits and score store performance.
• Report audit findings to managers and corporate.
• Advise store managers on improving in-store operations based on audits.
• Train Store Managers on LP procedures and compliance including cash management and security.
• Assist Store Managers in training Team Members in these areas.
• Plan and facilitate storewide meetings with APS, staff and managers.
• Monitor district cash and Sales (OIS) loss trends with LP tools.
• Conduct surveillance to identify integrity issues and safety concerns.
• Ensure Asset Protection equipment is functional and used properly.
• Report suspected fraud to LP partners.
• Support special projects impacting the market (Target Program, shrink).
• Follow all Company Policies and Procedures.
