Qualifications

• Bachelor3s degree or 2–3 years related experience in lawn/horticulture agronomic field required, or equivalent combination
• 2-4 years supervisory experience required
• 2-3 years outside sales experience required
• Certificates, licenses and registrations as required by federal and state law
• Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics
• Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams
• Ability to manage managers
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, percentages
• Strong MS Office skills

Responsibilities

• Manages a team of sales managers and develops their performance
• Develops market-level sales plans and forecasts
• Executes marketing programs to grow service profit and expansion
• Prepares prospect lists and assists in closing sales
• Resolves customer complaints regarding sales and service
• Trains sales personnel in customer service and selling techniques
• Plans work procedures, schedules, and expedites workflow
• Tracks sales efficiencies per salesperson
• Implements performance standards and measures results
• Handles recruiting, staffing, salary recommendations, and discipline
