Job summary

Hy-Vee in Omaha is seeking a friendly Market Grille Clerk to join our store team. You will take orders, assist customers, handle POS transactions, and help keep the kitchen area clean and organized. Prior food service experience is a plus, and no formal education is required.

Qualifications

• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; prior food service experience is a plus
• Ability to perform simple math for scanning and making change
• Strong customer-service mindset and team teamwork

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service at the Market Grille counter
• Take customer orders and answer phone promptly; assist with product orders
• Prepare and replenish food as needed; ensure freshness and safety
• Operate the department register and handle payments
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and follow Hy-Vee policies
• Assist other store areas and take on special projects as assigned
