Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Market Grille Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. In this role you will prepare hot and cold menu items from prep to plate, keep the food case stocked, and ensure every order is prepared with care.

You'll work with a collaborative team to deliver quality food and excellent customer service, maintain sanitation standards, and support other store areas as needed. Prior kitchen experience is helpful; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; training provided.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsabilités

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service with a smile.
• Prepare vegetables, sides, meats, breakfast foods, and heat-and-eat items.
• Place food in hot cases and refill as needed.
• Take guest orders as needed and stay knowledgeable on all menu items.
• Prepare items for upcoming shifts to keep operations running.
• Maintain understanding of Market Grille operations.
• Follow sanitation procedures and keep work area clean.
• Order product and supplies or notify managers of needs.
• Work with teammates to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist in other areas and take on special projects.
• Maintain personal hygiene and dress standards; report on time.
