Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Market Grille Cook to join a fast-paced store kitchen. You will prepare hot and cold menu items, keep the food case stocked, and ensure orders are prepared with care while maintaining sanitation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
• FLSA: Hourly; training will be provided for the role.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service, greeting customers with a smile, learning their names.
• Prepare cooking surfaces and all menu items including vegetables, sides, meats, breakfast foods, and heat-and-eat varieties.
• Place food in hot cases, monitor amounts, and refill as necessary throughout your shift.
• Stay knowledgeable of all menu items and take guest orders as needed.
• Prepare items for upcoming shifts to keep the department running smoothly.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all aspects of the Market Grille operation.
• Practice proper sanitation procedures and keep your work area clean and organized at all times.
• Order product and supplies as needed or notify department managers of any needs.
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assigned.
• Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines.
• Report to work when scheduled and on time.
