Job summary

Independence Physician Management (IPM), a Universal Health Services subsidiary, operates in Amarillo, TX. The Market Director leads IPM’s physician practices, driving operational excellence and financial performance across the market.

You will supervise Practice Managers, align policies with corporate strategy, recruit physicians, and collaborate with hospital leaders to ensure high-quality care and efficient delivery of services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health or business administration; master’s preferred.
• 3–5 years physician practice management or health care management experience.
• Experience managing multiple physician locations (20+ physicians).
• Strong understanding of financial management, revenue cycle, and operations of a medical group.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IPM market operations within Amarillo, ensuring policy adherence and efficient management of programs.
• Direct supervision of Practice Managers/Administrators; drive financial and operational performance.
• Assist in physician recruitment, credentialing, contracting and onboarding.
• Collaborate with market leaders to monitor performance indicators and credentialing.
• Build strong relationships with hospital administration and market providers.
