Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and a third-party EDM platform vendor to define and deliver requirements for a market data solution in Newark, NJ.

You will document workflows, data mappings, acceptance criteria, coordinate SIT/UAT, and drive alignment between upstream pipelines and platform configuration, leveraging SQL and Azure.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst within a banking or financial institution.
• Experience with Market Data feeds (Bloomberg, S&P, FactSet, Moody’s, S&P, Blackrock, LSEG Refinitiv, etc.).
• Experience with large Enterprise Data Management project with a 3rd party vendor.
• Ability to understand requirements and consolidate business requirements, datafeed use, ingestion processes, where data is used, fields requirements, historical data requirement, data quality rules, etc.
• Experience working with data engineering and technical teams to transform and modernize data for project needs.
• SQL querying ability to pull data from databases.
• Microsoft technical environment background (mainly Azure Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Market Data business users to gather, analyze, and document requirements, data workflows, and processes.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews across business and technology teams.
• Translate business needs into functional/technical requirements, user stories, data maps, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and the EDM platform vendor.
• Work with Data Engineering teams to source, transform, and deliver market data.
• Ensure alignment between upstream pipelines and platform configuration.
• Support data mapping, metadata definitions, and data governance activities.
• Coordinate SIT and UAT testing and validate solutions against requirements.
• Identify risks, gaps, dependencies, and issues, and report to leadership.
• Provide regular project updates and status reporting.

About the Role

This individual will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, internal data engineering teams, and a third-party platform implementation vendor to ensure business, functional, and technical requirements are accurately defined, documented, and delivered.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with Market Data business users to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, data workflows, and operational processes.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirements sessions across multiple business and technology teams.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements, user stories, process flows, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.
• Act as the primary point of coordination between internal stakeholders and the third-party EDM platform vendor responsible for implementing the solution.
• Work closely with internal Data Engineering teams that are responsible for sourcing, aggregating, transforming, and delivering market data into the new platform.
• Ensure alignment between upstream data pipelines, business requirements, and downstream platform configuration activities.
• Support data mapping, metadata definitions, data lineage documentation, and data governance activities.
• Coordinate testing efforts, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validate solutions against documented requirements.
• Identify and manage project risks, requirement gaps, dependencies, and implementation issues.
• Provide regular project updates and status reporting to business and technology leadership.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
