Job summary

JSR Tech Consulting is seeking a Technical Business Analyst in Newark, NJ for a contract role with hybrid work (3 days in the office). You will centralize market data feeds, source from EDM systems, ensure data quality rules, and land consolidated data into MS Fabric.

You’ll translate requirements and support migration of ingestion processes. Applicants should have experience with market data feeds (Bloomberg, S&P, FactSet, Moody's, LSEG Refinitiv) and asset management or financial services,

Qualifications

• Experience with data governance tools is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation.
• Strong SQL skills for data querying and modeling.
• Knowledge of data quality rules and data lineage concepts.
• Experience with PowerBI for reporting and dashboards.

Job description

Contract position in Newark, NJ with a major financial firm.
Hybrid, 3 days/week in the office.

Technical Business Analyst:

Business Requirements:

• Centralize market data feeds from various third-party market data vendors into the central "Market Data Hub."
• Source data feeds from a 3rd party EDM system (e.g. Gresham, Golden Source, RIMES, Bloomberg).
• Ensure that data quality rules and checks are applied to each dataset. (This would be configurable within the EDM System)
• Land consolidated data from EDM system within MS Fabric (example data flow: 3rd party market data vendor EDM System MS Fabric)
• Migrate existing market data feed ingestion and ETF processes to the MS Fabric or EDM System.
• Sunset existing market data feed ingestion.

Responsibilities:

• Work with 7 business affiliates and 4 functional areas to understand requirements and consolidate business requirements, datafeed use, ingestion processes, where data is used, fields requirements, historical data requirement, data quality rules, etc .
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Prior experience working with Market Data feeds (e.g. Bloomberg, S&P, FactSet, Moody's, S&P, Blackrock, LSEG Refinitiv, etc.) and asset management industry or financial services experience.
