As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Market Application Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for activities in the R&D Agriculture program and provide technical support to customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

Be part of a team that values diversity, sustainability, and continuous innovation, where your ideas and contributions matter. Responsible for maintaining quality standards in the department.

• Provide high level technical support to agriculture customers in a defined application area, involving customer visiting and carrying out experimental programmes.
• Assume position of key technical lead and specified customers. Build relationships with key technical decision makers and influencers to persuade customers to include Croda products in their approval programmes.
• Be recognised as an authority in a defined market/product area. Promote Croda’s image through presentations at trade exhibitions and conferences.
• Provide product support and guidance to customers according to the regional and global development plans. Develop solutions to the customer problems which are sometimes complex and not always with a complete dataset.
• Provide training to the sales team, agents, and customers.
• Coach and develop staff through effective use of performance management techniques.
• Allocate short‑and‑medium‑term projects (from a few days to more than one year) to self and other members of the team.
• Plan, run, and monitor progress on all projects to deliver results on time.
• Have a creative and viable approach to support new product launches and existing product ranges, including development of new test methodologies, and creation of novel finished formulations for promotional means.
• Identify opportunities for new projects.
• Enhance knowledge of market areas and relevant scientific techniques and communication with the business as appropriate.
