The analyst role focuses on comprehensive supply and demand analysis for U.S. and global markets, with price forecasts and development of price risk management strategies for clients across the agricultural spectrum.

Formación

• Experience conducting economic and market research.
• Knowledge of futures and cash markets.
• BS Agricultural Economics, Economics, or related field; MS is a plus.
• Five plus years of industry experience.
• Series 3 license preferred.
• Ability to facilitate small group presentations is a plus.
• Passion for commodity markets and how they operate.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Desire to learn.
• Commitment to teamwork.
• Excellent MS Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint skills.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and produce fundamental supply and demand analysis for assigned commodities.
• Provide ongoing research developments and commentary to clients.
• Be a team player and take on extra duties when others are absent.
• Cover commodities including corn, soybeans, wheat, hogs, cattle and dairy.
• Communicate research results through internal meetings, written reports, presentations, client calls and videos.

The role involves comprehensive supply and demand analysis for U.S. and global markets, including price forecasts and enhancement and development of price risk management strategies for clients across the agricultural spectrum. Essential to success in this role is developing strong working relationships with strategies for our clients utilizing futures/options and helping them execute and monitor those strategies is the daily rhythm of our Northstar team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The analyst is responsible for maintaining and producing fundamental supply and demand analysis for the assigned commodity while providing ongoing research developments and commentary to clients. The analyst is expected to be a team player, contribute to ongoing conversations, and willing to take on extra duties when other team members are absent. Commodities covered in the crops/livestock team include: corn, soybeans, wheat, hogs, cattle and dairy.

Analysts convey research results through a variety of channels including: internal meetings, written reports (daily and weekly), in-person presentations, and client calls and videos.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience conducting economic and market research
