Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead U.S. market access activities for pharma and diagnostics partnerships with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and refine U.S. market access strategies across diagnostics portfolio (Core Lab and Pathology Lab).
  • Evaluate reimbursement pathways, payer requirements, and evidence needs.
  • Define project scope, timelines, resources, risks, and budgets for proposals/SOWs.
  • Develop partner-facing strategies, proposals, and executive presentations.
  • Translate partnerships into implementation plans and lead milestone delivery.
  • Establish governance and manage partner communications.
  • Lead market access workstreams independently or with Access Strategy leads.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure ownership and delivery.
  • Monitor progress, risks, and scope changes; escalate as needed.
  • Build reusable market access frameworks, materials, tools, and processes.
  • Collaborate with U.S. and global stakeholders for alignment.

Job description

We are seeking a US Market Access - Partnership Lead to support strategic pharma and diagnostics partnerships within the U.S. market. This role will focus on developing and executing market access, payer, reimbursement, and evidence strategies across the Client portfolio, with particular emphasis on Core Lab and Pathology Lab.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare reimbursement landscape, experience across diagnostics and/or pharmaceuticals, and the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives involving internal teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead U.S. market access activities for pharma and diagnostics partnerships in collaboration with global PHCS, Product, Business Development, and Alliance Management teams.
  • Develop and refine U.S. market access strategies across the diagnostics portfolio, particularly Core Lab and Pathology Lab.
  • Evaluate product-specific reimbursement pathways, payer requirements, evidence needs, stakeholder insights, and market development opportunities.
  • Assess market access opportunities and translate findings into actionable recommendations and strategies.Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, dependencies, resources, risks, and budget requirements for proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Develop and present partner-facing strategies, proposals, recommendations, and executive-level presentations.
  • Translate executed partnership agreements into clear implementation plans and lead delivery against agreed milestones.
  • Establish governance structures, manage partner communications, and ensure alignment throughout project execution.
  • Lead market access workstreams independently or in partnership with Access Strategy Leads and subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure clear ownership, accountability, and delivery expectations.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, dependencies, scope changes, and key milestones while escalating issues when necessary.
  • Build reusable market access frameworks, proposal materials, tools, work packages, and processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with U.S. and global stakeholders to ensure market access strategies align with broader business and partnership objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Business, Life Sciences, Clinical Sciences, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in market access, reimbursement, payer strategy, HEOR, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, healthcare consulting, or a related healthcare discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with U.S. market access and reimbursement strategy.
  • Experience working within the diagnostics and/or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional, multi-stakeholder programs.
  • Strong ability to work across teams, and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. payer, reimbursement, and evidence requirements for diagnostic technologies.
  • Experience with biomarkers and/or companion diagnostics is a plus.
  • Experience developing proposals, Statements of Work, budgets, project plans, timelines, and partner-facing deliverables.
  • Previous experience supporting external partnerships, strategic alliances, consulting engagements, or client-facing programs.
  • Strong project/program management capabilities and excellent business judgment.
  • Ability to communicate complex market access concepts clearly to senior executives, partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
