Job summary

American Commercial Barge Line is seeking a Terminal Operator in St. Louis, MO to support safe handling of materials and efficient terminal operations.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior industrial operations experience, a strong safety focus, and the ability to work as part of a team.

You will operate conveyors and equipment, multi‑task, maintain good attendance, and be open to cross‑training as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior industrial operations work experience.
• Strong focus on safety and ability to follow safety requirements.
• Experience operating heavy equipment (bulldozer, conveyor belts, backhoe, cranes).
• Flexibility to cross-train in other positions.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong multitasking ability.
• Reliable with excellent attendance.
• Able to perform essential functions in coal transfer processing environment.
• Able to climb heights and work in confined spaces.
• Able to communicate operations data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Control or tend conveyors or conveyor systems that move materials to and from stockpiles, processing station, department or vehicles.
• Control the speed and routing of materials to meet shift goals.
• Operate select mobile equipment, including backhoes, bulldozers and rubber-tired bucket loaders.
• Perform general light clean-up and maintenance required in operation of all equipment.
