Job summary

American Commercial Barge Line in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Terminal Operator to manage material flow, operate conveyors and equipment, and support safe, efficient inland river operations.

You will join a team focused on safety, reliability, and heavy equipment handling, with opportunities for cross-training and overtime in a collaborative industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior industrial operations work experience.
• Strong focus on safety and following safety requirements for the facility.
• Experience operating heavy equipment (bulldozer, conveyor belts, backhoe, and cranes).
• Must be flexible to cross-training in other positions.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Strong ability to multi-task.
• Must wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Control or tend conveyors or conveyor systems that move materials to and from stockpiles, processing station, department or vehicles.
• Control the speed and routing of materials to meet shift goals.
• Operate select mobile equipment, including backhoes, bulldozers and rubber-tired bucket loaders.
• General light clean-up and maintenance required in the operation of all equipment.

What you will be doing… Your IMPACT

• Control or tend conveyors or conveyor systems that move materials from railcar, barge, truck or ship or products to and from stockpiles, processing station, department or vehicles.
• Controls the speed and routing of materials or products to ensure shift goals are met.
• Operation of select mobile equipment, which includes, backhoes, bulldozers and rubber-tired bucket loaders.
• General light clean-up and maintenance required in the operation of all equipment.

• Must wear required personal protective equipment associated with the specific work environment and job duties.
