Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking a Maritime System Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive experience designing, developing and fielding Navy manned and unmanned surface and underwater systems.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, systems engineering expertise, and lifecycle support for shipboard systems while collaborating with government and industry partners, mentoring junior engineers, and guiding modernization and sustainment initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• 9+ years of experience supporting U.S. Navy programs.
• Secret Clearance Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on U.S. Navy systems from concept to fielding.
• Support requirements development, architecture, interface definition, and trade studies.
• Evaluate shipboard mechanical, electrical, combat, and navigation systems.
• Conduct design reviews and technical interchange with stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to best practices.
