Job summary

PCI Manufacturing is seeking qualified structural welders for a contract in Mobile, Alabama. You will perform grinding, joint preparation, gouging, and welding to meet NDE and inspection criteria while following safety and quality standards.

Candidates should have GMAW Aluminum B Class or FCAW Steel B certification, maritime experience, and the ability to work shifts as needed. Training others and complying with policy are important parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as a Trades Assistant or 1 year in related field.
• Must pass GMAW Aluminum B Class and/or FCAW Steel B Weld Certification.
• Perform WPQT’s under supervision.
• Capable of grinding, gouging, and joint prep for NDE.
• Read and write simple instructions and measurements in metric system.
• Two years of maritime experience preferred.
• Able to work any shift and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Understand directions and follow instructions.
• Complete daily work assignments with signatures for completion and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization on job sites.
• Perform grinding and joint preparation meeting NDE criteria.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
• Willing to train lower-skilled workers.
• May be assigned to other crafts or shifts.
