Job summary

Global- a 1st Flagship Company in Bremerton, WA seeks a Safety, Environmental and Hazardous Material Technician II to support the Navy's inactive ship fleet. You will manage hazardous waste, perform atmospheric testing, and help ensure regulatory compliance in a dynamic maritime environment.

Applicants must obtain a Confidential security clearance, hold a valid driver's license, and have hazardous materials experience.

Qualifications

Must have Hazardous materials handling knowledge.
Must be able to obtain a CONFIDENTIAL security clearance.
Requires strong safety awareness and compliance.
Must possess a valid state driver’s license and be eligible to operate company/government vehicles.
Two years of education or experience with hazardous materials or relevant military experience.

Responsibilities

Waste Management: Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage and disposal, including the operation of the Hazardous Waste Accumulation Area.
Atmospheric Testing: Conduct atmospheric testing for safe personnel entry and hot work in confined spaces.
Inspections: Assist with annual vessel and facility Workplace Hazard Inspections and conduct daily waterfront inspections.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain knowledge of safety, environmental, hazardous material, and hazardous waste regulations.
Occasional travel and overtime when necessary.
Collaboration: Work with colleagues, offering safety advice and solutions.
Safety Awareness: Maintain a continuous safety oversight posture and safe working environment.
