Primary duties include maintaining supplier relations, monitoring deliveries, and supporting vendor evaluations, with opportunities to vet new vendors and improve procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
• Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, and customers.

Responsabilités

• Reviews requisitions; solicits vendors for price, availability, and delivery.
• Issues requests for quotations; verifies nomenclature and specs.
• Evaluates quotes and negotiates purchases meeting specs and budget.
• Selects vendors for award with Port Engineer confirmation; places orders.
• Complies with contract terms; records order confirmations.
• Reviews deliveries; discusses delays; documents corrective actions.
• Vets new vendors; conducts annual vendor evaluations; searches for small businesses.
