Job summary

Safe Harbor Savannah Yacht Center in Savannah, GA is seeking a Project Engineer to support shipyard operations and vessel refit projects. You will provide project management coordination across engineering, management, and trades to ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities include preparing estimates, drawings, and proposals, supporting facility upgrades, and collaborating with customers, subcontractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree; shipyard/marine focus preferred.
  • Experience in maritime industry, preferably yachting.
  • Knowledge of classifications reviews and drawings.
  • Solid naval architecture/marine engineering foundation.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Rhino).
  • FEA software and hydrostatics knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management coordination to integrate departments to support work on multiple vessels during shipyard maintenance.
  • Provide engineering support for shipyard projects, facility upgrades, vessel refit/repairs, and dry docking.
  • Prepare estimates, proposals and drawings; track change orders and service reports.
  • Ensure projects stay within scope, schedule, and budget; track tasks and status.
  • Collaborate with estimators, project management, engineering, and customers; interface with subcontractors.
