Job summary

Vensure Employer Solutions in Florida is seeking a Marine Systems Engineer to work on-site in Lithia, FL. You will collaborate with a small team of engineers and designers to address broad marine engineering challenges, design propulsion and piping, and manage complex shipyard projects with regulatory submittals.

The role requires hands-on drawing work, field visits, and travel as needed. A Marine Engineering background and AutoCAD proficiency are essential, with USCG experience and credentials

Qualifications

• Experience with machinery and systems aboard commercial ships, workboats, tugs, passenger vessels, and yachts.
• Knowledge of ship building rules, classification society and Coast Guard requirements.
• Proficiency in propulsion and steering design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Valid driver's license, passport, and TWIC or ability to obtain.
• Legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with marine engineers, naval architects, and designers to solve engineering challenges.
• Create engineering drawings and schematics for new construction and refit projects.
• Design propulsion and steering systems and route piping.
• Manage projects, scopes, schedules, and client communications.
• Coordinate vendors and attend project meetings.
• Oversee class and regulatory submittals.
• Travel and fieldwork on ships and in shipyards, with safety considerations.
