Job summary

Overwatch Imaging seeks a Product Owner — Maritime to shape the ASO software and Smart Sensors line. You will serve as the in-house authority on maritime ISR missions, translating operator needs into actionable product requirements and roadmaps.

You will partner with the central Product Manager, own the maritime backlog, and drive high‑impact features. This role emphasizes AI-driven maritime capabilities and close cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating, leading, or supporting airborne maritime ISR missions or equivalent product experience with maritime customers.
• Hands‑on exposure to EO/IR gimbal systems on patrol platforms.
• Background with DoD, U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, NOAA, USMC, allied military, or defense contractors.
• Strong written communication—product briefs, RFI responses, customer-facing summaries.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to set direction.
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI and using modern AI tools daily.

Responsibilities

• Be the resident maritime Subject Matter Expert and translate operational realities into product context.
• Build and maintain relationships with maritime operators across DoD, Coast Guard, allies, and commercial customers.
• Shape maritime strategy and roadmap with the VP of Product; maintain a prioritized epic backlog.
• Write clear product briefs and mission-use-case documents; hand off to the central PM.
• Champion maritime AI applications and use AI tools to elevate product practice.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Product Marketing, and designers on maritime opportunities.
