The role emphasizes hands-on hardware fabrication, collaboration with contract manufacturers, and developing documentation such as work instructions and inspection criteria.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or electromechanical hardware design.
• Proven ability to deliver process improvements in a resource-constrained environment.
• Demonstrated leadership with concrete examples.
• Hands-on hardware fabrication experience (machining, soldering, assembly).
• Eligible for U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop process flows and break down complex assemblies into subassemblies.
• Create work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers to develop repeatable processes for rapid development and scale.
• Work with technicians to build prototype hardware.
• Contribute to mechanical/electrical design including interconnects and boards.
• Travel to suppliers for sourcing, issue resolution, and quality improvements.
