Job summary

Kean Miller LLP is seeking an Offshore Energy and Marine Litigation Attorney (Partnership Track) for our New Orleans office. The role requires 2–3 years of litigation experience, with a preference for offshore and maritime matters.

The successful candidate will interact directly with clients, manage matters from inception to resolution, and contribute to a fast-paced, team-based environment. The position is based in New Orleans and requires admission to the Louisiana State Bar.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of litigation experience.
• Experience in offshore and maritime matters is highly preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials with strong research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload from inception to resolution.
• Regularly appear in court and take depositions.
• Lead client communications and provide meaningful updates.
