Job summary

• Assist with maritime, transportation, insurance, and commercial disputes.
• Communicate directly with clients and contribute to case strategy.
• Work closely with partners while developing increasing independence and responsibility.

Frilot LLC , a prominent mid-sized New Orleans law firm, is seeking an attorney with 3–5 years of litigation experience to join our New Orleans office and handle a sophisticated mix of maritime, transportation, and general litigation matters.

This position offers meaningful responsibility, direct involvement in case strategy, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators representing insurers, vessel owners, marine and transportation companies, and other commercial clients.

The associate will have opportunities to handle matters involving maritime and transportation disputes, personal injury and cargo claims, insurance issues, environmental matters, and other complex litigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters through discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other substantive legal work

Qualifications

Top candidates will have the following qualifications:

• Louisiana Bar admission and good standing (required)
• 3- 5 years of litigation experience
• Strong analytical, research, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
