Job summary

Chevron Shipping is seeking a Shipping Network Engineer to design and support shipboard and shore-side network infrastructure, focusing on vessel deployments and field deployment instructions. The role requires coordinating with Fleet Technical teams, IT stakeholders and vendors to ensure secure, reliable network operations across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent practical network experience.
• Experience designing or supporting enterprise, maritime, remote-site or distributed networks.
• Working knowledge of switches, routers, firewalls, wireless, remote access, IP addressing and routing.
• Experience coordinating work across vendors and stakeholders.
• Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP or similar are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and support shipboard and shore-side network infrastructure.
• Lead network deployments, field instructions and equipment lifecycle.
• Coordinate with Fleet Technical teams, IT stakeholders and vendors.
• Provide network security coordination and fault escalation.
• Mentor staff and transition to operations.
