Job summary

Anduril Industries in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking a Metrology Specialist to join our Maritime Manufacturing Technology Team. You will blend hands-on inspection with data-driven engineering analysis, developing automated inspection routines for CMMs and alignment strategies for large-scale laser trackers.

You will interpret engineering drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5, analyze dimensional data, support SPC initiatives, and contribute to AS9100 quality systems across R&D to full-rate production.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical/manufacturing/aerospace or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5.
• Hands-on with PC-DMIS or PolyWorks in a manufacturing/QMS environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and execute inspection routines for CMMs.
• Analyze inspection data and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Design/Manufacturing to provide DFM/DFI feedback.
• Interpret GD&T and complex drawings to create validated inspection plans.
• Generate inspection reports and present findings to teams for corrective actions.
• Support SOPs for metrology within AS9100 Quality System.
