Job summary

Anduril Industries in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking a Quality Technician for the Maritime Manufacturing Technology team. This role ensures autonomous surface and undersea systems meet AS9100 and NAVSEA standards, blending rapid innovation with disciplined quality practices on nautical hardware.

You will develop and sustain quality systems, support MRB and RCCA processes, and drive FAI, inspections, and supplier audits across manufacturing and subcontractor activities to ensure first-pass success in

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a Quality Engineering role within aerospace/defense or other regulated industries.
• Experience implementing, maintaining, and being audited against an AS9100 QMS.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Experience aiding First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9102.
• Understanding of GD&T and interpretation of complex engineering drawings.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and sustain a robust QMS compliant with AS9100 and NAVSEA for maritime hardware.
• Champion quality on the manufacturing floor; support SPC, FMEA, and continuous improvement to improve yield and reduce scrap.
• Interpret NAVSEA standards and technical publications into actionable manufacturing and inspection processes.
• Support MRB disposition of non-conforming product; drive RCCA using 8D and 5 Whys.
• Partner with supply chain to qualify, audit, and manage suppliers of critical components and special processes.
• Develop inspection plans, work instructions, and criteria for receiving, in-process, and final inspection; assist with FAIs per AS9102.
• Assist internal and supplier audits and support customer/third-party audits.
