Job summary

Ocean Aero is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to advance the mechanical subsystems of surface and underwater autonomous vessels. You will collaborate across engineering teams, develop testing fixtures, and document designs to support robust, deployable solutions in challenging marine environments.

Experience in marine robotics and willingness to travel are valued. A DoD clearance and TWIC may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or a related field required.
• Strong problem-solving and design thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Electrical, Software, and Field Test teams to design, assemble, and document subsystems.
• Develop and maintain testing fixtures (pressure testing, fatigue testing, static load tests).
• Provide mechanical support for Testing and Fabrication Teams and write clear documentation.

Education

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or related field
