Canal Barge Company in Illinois seeks a Junior Buyer / Warehouse Associate to assist with procurement for vessels and internal customers. You will request RFQs, identify vendors, and manage purchase orders while supporting warehouse operations and deliveries.

The role involves inventory control, vendor communication, and invoicing using On Base, with driving duties as needed. A forklift-certified, safety-minded individual with TWIC is preferred.

Formación

• One year of experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and vendors.
• Ability to drive a forklift with certification.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving history.
• Must possess or be able to obtain TWIC.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Purchase items for vessels and internal customers.
• Request RFQs and identify potential vendors.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships for timely delivery.
• Review and approve purchase orders per policy.
• Process invoices in On Base and support Accounting.
