SSA Terminals, LLC in Seattle is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to oversee day-to-day safety across vessels, terminals and maintenance. Based in Seattle, this role covers the Tacoma and Seattle area.

You will develop safety systems, investigate injuries, train staff, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Strong collaboration with unions and regulators is essential, as is readiness for on-call responsibilities.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 5 years, 8+ years preferred, in Health and Safety and/or Environment.
• Knowledge of maritime safety regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of employer union contract documents.
• Experience working with government agencies and unionized labor force.
• Valid driver’s license and TWIC card.

Aufgaben

• Assist with safety systems, programs and culture action plans to drive safety vision and reduce risk.
• Investigate injuries and identify root causes; report safety performance indicators.
• Train management safety programs, BC P and EAP in accordance with laws.
• Conduct inspections and audits for governance and compliance with Environmental Department.
• Coach leadership on regulatory health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Meet with union locals and safety reps to discuss concerns.
