First Citizens Maritime Finance offers customized secured loan solutions for vessel owners and operators, focusing on freight, bulker and container sectors. The Maritime Finance team is hiring an Underwriting Analyst to join the Commercial Bank Analyst Development Program in New York City.

The six-week on-site curriculum covers credit policies, underwriting fundamentals, financial analysis and Excel modeling, with ongoing trainings as Analysts join their teams to support loan management and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher required; 0 years experience OR HS diploma with 4 years in commercial lending or credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and finance fundamentals.
Strong financial analysis and writing abilities preferred; maritime sector experience a plus.

Responsabilités

Prepare historical financial analysis, projection models and assist in underwriting of loans.
Conduct independent industry research.
Assist in management and reporting of loans post-close.
Participate in creation of credit committee documents.
Attend and contribute to credit committee meetings.
Develop understanding of trends in their business unit and maintain credit files.
Develop familiarity with FCB systems and resources.
