Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking Field Test Engineer interns to join the Costa Mesa or Quincy-based team. Youll work in a cutting-edge environment to advance subsea robotics, planning, executing and analyzing at-sea test events for autonomous underwater and surface vessels.

Youll be a hands-on link between engineering and the ocean, solving hard problems in austere conditions and contributing to test plans, data analysis and user documentation. This 12-week internship runs summer 2027 in CA or MA.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS/CE/SE/Math/Physics.
• Must be returning to school for at least one quarter/semester after internship.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to export-controlled information; clearance may be required.
• Ability to complete a 12-week in-person internship in summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Work with multidisciplinary engineers on AUV/ASV design, integration and test efforts.
• Troubleshoot, repair, operate and maintain AUVs/ASV and subsea systems in the field.
• Lead day-to-day local operations for multiple AUVs/ASV and subsea platforms: pre-mission testing, launch/recovery, data analysis.
• Deploy globally to support maritime operations from various support vessels.
• Write, review and execute test plans during sea testing.
• Coordinate test execution with 3rd party vendors, partners and logistics.
• Document daily operational test reports detailing test execution for systems.
• Support software UI design feedback for maritime systems.
• Contribute to user documentation for AUV and subsea operations.
