Job summary

Hose-mccann Telephone Co. is seeking a Technical Engineer (On-Site Service Engineer) to install, commission, and maintain maritime manufacturing equipment at customer sites, including vessels and shipyards.

This role requires hands-on troubleshooting in demanding marine environments. You will travel frequently, work on-site at shipyards, ports, and offshore sites, and serve as the primary technical contact during service visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or marine engineering.
• 2–5+ years of on-site service or marine technical support.
• Experience with propulsion systems, deck machinery, automation, or power systems.
• Ability to work in remote/shipboard environments and travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and test maritime equipment on vessels and in shipyards.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and upgrades.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automation issues.
• Provide technical guidance and training to ship crews and client engineers.
• Prepare service reports and documentation.
• Communicate findings to customers and internal teams.
• Support safety and regulatory compliance during work.
