Job summary

Alfa Laval in the United States is hiring a Field Service Engineer to execute on-board service, commissioning and troubleshooting on vessels in the Northeast. You may sail to resolve issues and work under the Global Marine Service Coordinator to support our customers.

You will apply electrical and automation knowledge (EPC 50/60, boiler controllers), CRM planning tools, and maintain strong reporting. The role requires flexibility with hours and a customer-focused mindset, plus a commitment to

Qualifications

• CRM systems, planning tools and database handling knowledge.
• Electrical and Automation knowledge incl. EPC 50/60 and boiler controllers.
• Ability to work outside normal working hours.

Responsibilities

• Execute field service, commissioning and troubleshooting on board of vessels.
• Diagnose, solve and report solutions to issues including third party equipment.
• Full autonomy in troubleshooting across harbors; may sail to solve problems.
• Install and inspect PureBallast equipment onboard.
• Commission ballast water treatment systems and recommission existing systems.
• Perform compliance service including filter inspection and water sampling.
