Job summary

Maritech LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our engineering team. This hands-on, field-based role involves testing, troubleshooting, and supporting marine and industrial rotating equipment for clients in the United States and abroad.

You will conduct surveys, perform vibration testing, and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, while documenting data and coordinating calibration of test equipment. Strong problem-solving, safety, and independence are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in marine, mechanical, industrial, or field-service environments.
• BS in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability and hands-on skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; U.S. Citizenship required; TWIC credential a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys, including alignment measurement and correction of propulsion systems.
• Perform vibration testing and analyses on rotating machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in rotating equipment.
• Conduct machinery condition monitoring surveys and document data.
• Coordinate calibration and testing of field equipment; ensure accuracy and safety.
