Job summary

ARMADA INC. in Hawaii seeks an ESH Technician to promote Environmental, Safety and Health on multiple jobsites. You will work independently and with the Project Team to ensure compliance with ESH regulations and safety requirements.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, coordinating with on-site management, attending inspections, conducting safety trainings, and performing industrial hygiene tasks. A valid high school diploma and maritime experience are required; various OSHA preferences

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in the Maritime Industry.
• OSHA 5410 Maritime Standards - preferred.
• HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour - preferred.
• OSHA 521 Industrial Hygiene - preferred.
• OSHA 3115 Fall Protection - preferred.
• OSHA 3095 Low Voltage - preferred.
• Shipyard Competent Person (Gas Free) - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of facility, vessel, pier to ensure compliance and identify unsafe conditions or environmental violations and submit reports as required.
• Work with the on-site project management team to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and prevent incidents.
• Represent the company during inspections, investigations and interactions with a variety of people.
• Conduct safety meetings and training on a variety of ESH topics.
• Identify potential safety and environmental hazards and recommend corrections to minimize risks.
• Investigate incidents and accidents that occur in the workplace.
• Conduct industrial hygiene testing, including breathe air, air monitoring, sample captures, etc.
