Job summary

Armada Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking an ESH Technician to promote Environmental, Safety and Health on a range of jobsites. You will work with project teams to ensure regulatory compliance and lead safety trainings.

The ideal candidate has maritime industry experience and OSHA/HAZWOPER certifications; the role is full-time with exposure to varied conditions and on-site responsibilities. Competitive hourly wages and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2+ Years experience in the Maritime Industry.
• OSHA 5410 Maritime Standards (Company may provide).
• HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour (Company may provide).
• OSHA 521 Industrial Hygiene (Company may provide).
• OSHA 3115 Fall Protection (Company may provide).
• OSHA 3095 Low Voltage (Company may provide).

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of facility, vessel, pier to ensure compliance and identify any unsafe conditions or environmental violations and submit reports as required.
• Work with the on-site project management team to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and prevent incidents.
• Represent the company when conducting and attending inspections, investigations and interacting with a variety of people.
• Conduct safety meetings and training on a variety of ESH topics.
• Identify potential safety and environmental hazards and recommend corrections to minimize risks.
• Investigate incidents and accidents that occur in the workplace.
• Conduct industrial hygiene testing, including breathe air, air monitoring, sample captures, etc.
