Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a technical leader to own the Energy subsystem for a maritime autonomous vehicle. You will shape battery, power distribution, energy management, and charging interfaces from concept through production.

Reporting to the Vehicle Systems Lead, you will maximize endurance, set architecture, mentor engineers, and drive cross‑functional work across prototype to production milestones, with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of energy/power systems experience in marine, aerospace, or robotics.
• Experience taking energy systems through full product development cycles.
• Experience with battery systems, power electronics, or energy management.
• Experience transitioning designs from prototype to production.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the Energy subsystem architecture: storage, distribution, management, regulation, and external charging.
• Drive design of energy storage systems for ultra-long-range autonomous operation.
• Define power distribution and bus architecture across the vehicle.
• Own energy regulation systems ensuring safe and efficient power delivery to all subsystems.
• Design external charging interfaces for rapid turnaround.
• Manage energy budget and power allocation across subsystems.
• Define electrical interfaces between energy subsystem and other vehicle systems.
• Manage subsystem schedule and cost performance across prototype, LRIP, and FRP phases.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineers across energy disciplines.
• Drive design-for-manufacturability in coordination with Production.
• Represent the energy subsystem in technical and customer meetings.
• Travel up to 25% to test sites and customer locations.
