Job summary

Lloyd's Register Group seeks a commercially driven Business Development Manager to grow advisory services across maritime and energy sectors in North Europe. You will uncover opportunities, engage senior decision-makers, and design tailored advisory solutions aligned with decarbonisation and energy transition trends.

You will lead client-facing material creation, maintain cross-functional collaboration with engineers, regulators, and commercial teams, and build a strong pipeline consulting

Qualifications

• A degree in maritime, engineering, or business.
• Several years of experience in business development, sales, consulting, or client-facing advisory roles.
• Knowledge of shipping decarbonization and energy transition trends.
• Proven ability to build pipelines and convert opportunities into engagements.
• Strong commercial insight and ability to translate regulatory/technical topics into business value.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is a plus.
• Ability to work with minimal oversight in a dynamic environment.
• Established North European network among shipowners, operators, energy companies, or tech providers is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development strategy for advisory services in North Europe.
• Identify and engage senior decision-makers across maritime and energy clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with shipowners, operators, OEMs, and technology providers.
• Collaborate with energy sector clients to uncover advisory opportunities tied to energy transition.
• Create client-facing materials and proposals.
• Represent the business at industry conferences and events.
• Monitor developments in maritime decarbonisation and translate insights into opportunities.
• Collaborate with leadership on account strategy and forecasting.
