Job summary

Metris Global is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician Instructor to provide instruction in basic out-of-hospital emergency medical care and patient transport. This is a non-exempt Service Contract Act (SCA) position reporting to the Site Lead.

Responsibilities include teaching electrical systems and theory across shipboard and shore-based platforms, maintaining classroom environments, and ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Education (Desired): Bachelor's degree in Allied Health or in educational practices.
• Certification: CPR and National Registry EMT.
• Certification (Desired): National Registry Advanced EMT or Paramedic preferred; PALS, ACLS, PHTLS, TCCC, CG PERJC are a plus.
• Experience: 5 years of field experience as a practicing EMT or paramedic.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years as a primary classroom instructor providing training.
• Experience (Desired): Work aboard afloat and shore units.
• Security Clearance: Not required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct on electrical systems and electrical systems theory across shipboard and shore-based systems.
• Maintain classroom management and meet client quality objectives.
• Ensure safe, discipline-appropriate training environments and schedule adherence.
• Manage class schedules and ensure materials are available.
