Job summary

Metris LLC is seeking an Electrician’s Mate Instructor to provide instruction on electrical systems for both shipboard and shore-based platforms. This non-exempt, Service Contract Act position reports to the Location Site Lead and operates on a standard M-F schedule.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in electrical theory and shipboard systems, plus proven classroom instruction skills, and will ensure a safe, disciplined learning environment consistent with course curricula.

Qualifications

• Three years minimum as primary classroom instructor.
• Seven years field experience or journeyman certification in electrician work.
• Knowledge of shipboard electrical systems and related theory.

Responsibilities

• Instruct electrical systems and theory for shipboard and shore-based topics.
• Maintain classroom management and safety standards while delivering content.
