Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking an Electrical Build Engineer to lead vessel electrical integration for Autonomous Surface Vehicles. You will own harness integration from design to commissioning, define build verification, and ensure EWIS documentation and CAD organization are meticulously maintained.

You will troubleshoot electrical systems, coordinate with mechanical and EWIS teams, and drive ECOs and design reviews to keep the build on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of electrical system integration including power distribution, wiring, harnesses, connectors, sensors, actuators and electronics.
• Experience interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings and engineering documentation.
• Experience with EWIS, harness routing, installation, and documentation.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD and electrical routing tools; Siemens NX preferred.
• Experience in shipyard or onboard ships and ability to work in an industrial environment.
• Strong communication across engineers, technicians, production teams, quality teams, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical and harness integration for Autonomous Surface Vehicles from design through installation, test and commissioning.
• Define verification activities at build milestones to identify issues early.
• Maintain EWIS CAD organization, harness routing, interfaces, and installation documentation.
• Review engineering packages for production readiness and capture concerns early.
• Support troubleshooting of vessel electrical systems including power distribution, sensors, actuators, and devices.
• Coordinate with mechanical and EWIS teams to define brackets, clamps, penetrations, and cable-management features.
• Lead non-conformances, root-cause analysis, and ECOs with traceability and verification.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical writing for reports and client presentations.
